i want to take you back up here to minneapolis, big thunderstorms moving through tonight. minneapolis today for a high temperature was 99 degrees, lots of heat out in the nation's midsection. these thunderstorms, though, out ahead of a cold front that's really going to come through here on sunday and it's going to bring us some thunderstorms. i don't think it's going to be anything like that, but it will bring us at least a chance of some showers and thunderstorms sunday evening into sunday night and it's looking now like it will push to the south and we're doing pretty good now with the forecast for july the 4th, but again a lot of big heat out in the central plains. dallas was 98, wichita 103, omaha 97 and there's minneapolis, high today of 99 degrees, st. louis is 96 as is little rock and i think we'll feel closer to that tomorrow and tomorrow afternoon. still 79 in town, gaithersburg 66, manassas the same and a little cooler back out there for martinsburg and winchester, too. how about that 4th of july forecast? what we can expect this weekend, we know things will get
